The Ground is an unique music marketplace online. We offer music as MP3 format without any form of DRM (Digital Restrictions/Rights Management). In addition to this we sell CDs and vinyl.

What makes The Ground unique is the way it works. We offer music from the big labels but also straight from the independent artists and labels. Every band and artist can sell their music at The Ground without any 3rd parties.

The band listing on the front page and on genre pages are decided by the users. Bands are listed according to votes given by the users. This results in a front page which lists music chosen by fans – giving bands and listeners a great opportunity to find each other.

Voting for an artist is made as simple as possible – when a users finds something they like they can give a thumbs up for that artist. When a user is not registered a thumbs up has the strength of one point and may only be used once per artist. Registered users can distribute their points freely and also follow who they have thumbed up.

Registered users gain more points by buying music. Every euro used grants 5 points.

Compared to other music stores we supply visitors with a lot of information about the artists and music that is being sold. We wish that our music samples and information helps you to find new favorites.
